1.Rooftop Prince/ Attic King - Starring Park "Micky" Yoochun and Han Ji Min.
RTP has released two episodes so far I have been laughing out loud, literally, because it is so funny. There are some deeper themes in the drama that have been introduced already, but the comedy is the reason I am looking forward to the next episode. Yoochun's character is a crowned prince who has been transported 300 years into the future, along with three faithful servants, after the death of his princess, and his acting so far has been good and some of the moments are already up there with the leopard tracksuit from Secret Garden.
When he finds out that his princess is dead, I could believe that he had just lost someone dear to him and when he finds himself in jail I could believe the he really had no idea how he ended up in such a place. I am a fan of Yoochun, but until this drama I have been too scared to watch him in a drama, even though I read some really good reviews for his previous shows Miss Ripley and Sungkyunkwan Scandal . I know, I know, a true fan has no fear only love, but I just could not do it and the plots of the other shows did not really appeal to me. Hoping for a good show!
2. Wild Romance- Starring Lee Dong Wook and Lee Si Young.
I love Lee Dong Wook and I need something to fill the time between RTP episodes and after one episode I am again surprised to find myself really laughing at a drama. 'Nuff said.
I hope the writers for both shows can keep up with the cute and funny when the shows start to get to episodes in the teens. Most shows forget about the comedy in face of what they think are more serious issues, and it usually causes the show to drag on for the last 6 episodes while fans wade through repetitive scenes of 'I love you don't leave me' and 'What are you going to do? I love you'. With any luck these two will be added to my favorites list for fun and fluffy romantic comedies.
